1. In the CMS, select 'Activities' from the Top Bar.
2. Go to 'Events'.
3. Click on Add Event, and select Web Page:
4) Insert the desired metadata:
i- URL: Insert the desired URL for the Sync Button action
For example: You can configure the Sync Button to open your Live stream upon being clicked, by inserting in the "URL" box, the URL Scheme that leads to your stream in the app.
The URL Scheme structure for playing a live channel, would be:
ii- Name: Name of the Sync Button (This will not be visible to the viewers. It is recommended that you choose a name that reflects the content of the event).
iii- Starts/Ends: Insert the Start and End time
iv - Target: Select Takeover so that the “Sync Button option will be available”.
v - Active In: Select in which platforms you want the sync button to appear: usually “Apps (select all)”
5) Scroll down to the “Event behavior” section and select “Show Sync Button”
You will now see the Sync button UI appear. You can now insert the following details:
i- Orientation (always set as "BOTH")
ii- Interrupt video (yes/no)
iii - Enable Zoom (usually left unchecked)
iv- Show sync button (checked)
(If you choose this last option, the sync button configuration options will appear)
v- Call for Action - This is the short message that will appear in the Sync Button UI. This text should urge the users to click on the button. You can enter up to 48 characters. The text will appear in font Helvetica 17 bold.
vi - Background Image (280x284px)
vii - Button Image (300x300px)
6) Click on the "Create" button, located on the upper-left hand menu to save the event.
You will now see that your Sync Button is active and “On Air”:
If your event is scheduled to start in the future, you can find it in the Upcoming tab. It will go live automatically in the scheduled time, and can be found in the On Air tab. Once the event ends, it can be found in the Archive tab.
